ARCHITECTURAL TRADITIONS DONATES $100,000 WORTH OF DOORS TO TUCSON HABISTORE

(TUCSON) - Architectural Traditions, a Southwest Door Company, has partnered with Habitat for Humanity's HabiStore. An initial donation of 144 doors, Architectural Traditions will continue to supply the Tucson Habistore with overstock doors and windows. Founded 18 years ago in Tucson, AZ, Architectural Traditions' mission is to operate with the highest levels of corporate integrity while consistently delivering superior performance for our customers. By forming a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Architectural Traditions stays true to its philanthropic goal of sharing with the Tucson community to enrich the quality of life for our employees and citizens. The HabiStore is a retail business selling surplus new and used building and home improvement materials to the general public. Useable materials, donated by retail businesses, contractors, individuals, and other organizations, will be sold at estimated prices from 15% to 50% of new value. The ultimate goal of this endeavor is to create a strategic stream of revenue to help build safe homes for low-income, deserving families while help our community stop wasting the estimated 200 homes per year's worth of unsalvaged construction material going into Tucson landfills. With an initial donation of $100,000 worth of doors, Architectural Traditions hopes to help Habitat for Humanity raise money for building decent, affordable housing for Tucson families and promote awareness of the HabiStore.

"Partnering with Architectural Traditions is a special opportunity for Habitat Tucson and the HabiStore. This donation will help Habitat raise $100,000 and will fund construction of one home for a low-income, deserving family. Architectural Traditions' doors are opening doors for our community," says Terry Dee, Director of Retail Operations for HabiStore. In the first weekend alone, the HabiStore sold $10,000 of Architectural Traditions doors. "We are excited to donate our product to Tucson's HabiStore and feel that the union of Architectural Traditions and HabiStore is a natural fit," says Greg LeFevre, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Architectural Traditions. "We hope that this partnership not only helps Habitat for Humanity to raise the money needed to build homes, but also encourages other Tucson businesses to support the HabiStore and Habitat for Humanity." Because of this, Architectural Traditions has been awarded the first Golden Hammer award to solidify the partnership between the HabiStore and Architectural Traditions. The Golden Hammer award is now proudly on display in the showroom at Architectural Traditions.

Architectural Traditions overstock doors and windows will be available at the Tucson HabiStore location and will help Habitat for Humanity provide Tucson households with high-quality, reasonably priced home improvement supplies. Architectural Traditions looks forward to a long partnership with the HabiStore and encourages other Tucson business to donate to the HabiStore.

ARCHITECTURAL TRADITIONS EXHIBITS "OLD WORLD CHARM" AT PCBC

Tucson, AZ- May 9, 2005- Architectural Traditions will occupy booth #217 at the PCBC Show in San Francisco starting June 1st at the Moscone Center. The 3-day event welcomes Pacific Coast homebuilders, architects and other construction industry representatives.

"Our booth houses many show-stoppers," stated Greg LeFevre, Architectural Traditions Vice President. "Visitors will see our Operating Sidelite System (OPS) with non-static sidelites, our sliding door system which can be built with any of our glass doors and our exterior bifolding system which allows a transformation of living space into a true indoor/outdoor space." These systems are also available with custom applications, such as thicker, wider or taller doors and even curved systems.

Sharing the spotlight, the booth also features the company's proprietary Homestead window. Modeled after the charming Old-World windows of Europe, this window is opened by unlocking a sash lock and pushing the window outward instead of using a standard crank handle. Concealed friction hinges on the top and bottom of the sash supply amply pressure to hold the sash open in whatever position selected. The Homestead window also features a pull down screen option.

Booth visitors are also entertained with samples of flooring, cabinet fronts and hand-forged hardware, another trademark of Architectural Traditions. All products are made in the company's factory in Tucson, Arizona. Company brochures will be available upon request.

As a custom manufacturer, Architectural Traditions' product line is tailored towards the discriminating homeowner who is looking for "Old World" craftsmanship coupled with the enduring quality of innovative manufacturing techniques. In addition, Architectural Traditions offers a wide range of wood textures and finishing options to provide a look that will complement any architectural style.

Architectural Traditions is a company still rooted in and proud of its Southwestern heritage, but dedicated to providing a product that is true to each regional architectural style for which its product is chosen. Our old name served us well as a regional company. However now that we have expanded nationally we needed to be identified with a name that better reflects our capabilities. The new name provides an excellent platform for the company's continued growth and geographic expansion.
